Has anyone had any problems with rubber ring mount system on inserts? Klockit recently discontinued the best 3 1/8 in #15692 insert with white Arabic dial. It had the same mounting as 15691. It stayed in place and didn’t creep back out like the rubber rings do.

I have had to supper glue the ring to the mounting board on most of the inserts I use. Can’t use #15691 because most people don’t like the gold dial.

After almost 20years (or more) with Klockit, I may have to look elsewhere this size insert. Hi,I have a 1986 Howard Miller Bracket Clock (612-429) Triple Chime. I’ve recently had my clock serviced. My clock kept perfect time, however the chimes was not working. The clock maker determined that my clock needed an over haul and charged me $185.00.

He cleaned and oiled my clock, replaced 3 main springs, and replaced one bushing he said was bad. What concerns me is, he replaced the original balance wheel that had a screw to regulate the time, with a different balance wheel, now the adjustmentis connected to the wheel that I have to rotate one way or the other depending on if the time is running slow or fast. Will this new balance wheel affect the quality of my clock? I’m not so sure I like the new balance wheel. When I had the old balance wheel I could turn my clock sideways and it would still run! Now when I tilt my clock the new balance wheel stops?! Any input would be appreciated.

I grew up in Kokomo Indiana just a couple doors down from an older gentleman named WIlliams who made Grandfather clocks. I have many memories of sitting in his shop watching him work. He’d “let” me sweep sawdust off the floor, and would give me little scraps of wood to whittle and work on.I’ve been trying to track down his information because it is a dream of mine to own one of his clocks someday. None of us in the family can remember his first name. He was always just “Mr.

Williams”.By any chance, are you familiar with this clock maker from Kokomo and/or his work? Hello,I have a 1980’s Hermle 1151 that my father-in-law used in a grandmother clock wedding gift. It has worked great through the years with little maintainancebut stopped about a year ago. I tried to clean and oil, but probably did not do the job properly. Yesterday, after moving to another location I swapped the 6+ lb movement from R to C. Now time works perfectly again!

Of course the chimes and gong do notbut wife makes me turn them off anyway. Butbeing a engineer type, I want it back working properly. Any help would be appreciated!Thank you!Jimmy Carter.
